SYNOPSIS
The story begins with Cait returning to her childhood
home with her young son, Magnus, after receiving news
that her Mother has passed away. Cait struggles with the
grief of losing her, while Magnus is forced to confront his
feelings of displacement. Upon their arrival, Cait’s strained
relationship with her grandmother, Eilidh, comes into
focus as they try to navigate old tensions and new grief.
Throughout the film, Cait grapples with the weight of the
past, including her estranged relationship with her mother
and the cultural and generational gap with her
grandmother. As Cait attempts to reconnect with Eilidh
and their heritage, Magnus finds solace in the quiet, rural
setting. He discovers unexpected joy in learning some
Gaelic from his grandmother, Eilidh, especially when they
bond over gardening.
